Zach Ahrens is the Grand Forks Herald’s advertising director and publisher of several niche products. He has spent much of his career leading and training advertising teams to sell both print and online advertising. Zach worked as an advertising director for Lee Enterprises in its Lincoln, Neb., suburban business unit, as a publisher with the Omaha World Herald Co. in southwestern Iowa and with small market dailies and weeklies in the Midwest before he moved to Grand Forks last June to work for the Herald. He has recently served as a presenter at the North Dakota Newspaper Association, Inland Press Association and the New York Press Association.
