Webinars are conducted by a presenter showing slides. The slides will appear through your Internet browser and the audio will be presented through the phone.

Each registration receives one webinar connection link.

After registering for a webinar, you will receive a receipt by email, as well as a second email with the log-in and call-in information. The subject line of the second email will read “Meeting Confirmation.”

It’s not easy to keep video in the forefront of your newsroom strategy. As an editor, how do you keep the focus on adding video, and what topics are better than others? And as a reporter, how do you produce quick-hit videos getting the best quality from their phones or basic cameras? Tim Schmitt will lead a discussion about moving your video strategy forward.

Tim Schmitt has spent decades in various newsrooms–some print, and some broadcast. He was a sports reporter, news reporter, and then managing editor of his hometown paper, the Tonawanda (N.Y.) News, where he led an award-winning editorial page. He’s worked as an editor, staffer or longtime contributor with the Arizona Daily Sun in Flagstaff, the Mesa Tribune, the Arizona Republic, the alt-weekly Buffalo Current and the Niagara Falls Gazette, where he was executive sports editor over four dailies.
